Sorry to say I've been so busy making that I haven't had time to photograph and list every item I've made individually. SO instead I'm offering this video. I've simplified my pricing and all these handmade one of a kind ornaments are just $20 each, plus there are quantity price breaks shown above if you want to purchase multiples. Feel free to mix and match. They make GREAT gifts. They'll look great on your Christmas tree, but they're neutral enough to be enjoyed all year long. Hang them anywhere - in your windows, from a lamp, from a plant, to name a few places.
Here's a brief description of the different types of ornaments with a sample of each shown to the left as well. There are too many ornaments to post each individually, but you will receive ornaments similar to those shown. Rest assured I'll pick the best ones for you!
Clear Leaf Ornaments: These are my personal favorite. Hand made, hand painted, kiln fired and slumped glass leaves with stones I gathered myself from Door County Wisconsin beaches off the great Lake Michigan. Some also have natural and cultured seaglass. The edge of each leaf is bordered in gleaming silver colored solder, with a delicate silver wire running down the middle of the leaf.
Birds: As you can see in the video, there are several versions of the birds this year. Some are painted steel blue glass with a fused glass wing, some are more of a beautiful teal blue color. I have one amber colored bird left, and a couple of ivory colored birds with fused wings. All the birds have a real tail feather, and looooong legs. For you cardinal lovers I have cardinals with red feathers and some with black tassels.
Glass Leaves: I have a wide variety of colored leaves. Some are an eye popping iridescent on black glass, some translucent amber or purple with iridized fronts too. I also have translucent red, green, cobalt blue, light blue and teal blue leaves, as well as purple and sage green. There are red glass leaves with a mirrored back that reflects light beautifully. All the leaves are handpainted with the exception of the black iridized leaves and the mirrored red glass leaves, (the extreme temps with kiln firing would destroy the finish). All the leaves are foiled and soldered around the edges, and some have a silver wire vein running down the center, some have silvery wire swirls adorning them.
If you want to make a purchase, you can email me directly at email@example.com, or purchase directly online and indicate which ornaments you want in the notes section of the shopping cart. I'll let you know if we're out of stock of any so we can make a substitution.
ABOUT MY GLASS: All of my glass art is cut freehand without patterns; every piece is unique. I use the same methods and materials that have been used by glass artists for centuries: the paint is powdered glass which, when kiln-fired becomes one with the glass beneath it. These pieces will last your lifetime. And more.
