An iridized glass is used for the background of this piece; colors change endlessly as you move about the room. The highly detailed Aspen trees are layered over the background to give the picture dimension, and yes, I handpainted each and every one of them. They look so real that people have asked me how I transfer photos of Aspens to the glass.
A layer of glass has been placed over the top to keep the painting dust free and low maintenance. Custom framed and ready to hang on your wall, no need to hang this glass piece in a window.
All of my glass art is cut freehand without patterns; every piece is unique. The paint is powdered glass which, when kiln-fired (some sections many times) becomes one with the glass beneath it, just as stained glass windows have been done for centuries.
