This sweet little bonsai is a cascade of jewel colors with an iridescent swing to play with and dream of carefree summer days. The tree is burnished copper, it's roots wrapped around a water worn Door County WI beach rock. The base is mortared and finished with a pad to protect your surfaces. Each of the 49 glass leaves has been hand cut, painted, kiln-fired and slumped into an organic shape; no patterns are ever used. They are drilled, wire wrapped and finally secured to the copper limbs.
This tree measures approximately 10" high and 10" around. If it gets dusty, simply dip it in hot soapy water and rinse; pat the leaves dry to prevent spotting. The tree looks best with leaves arranged horizontally.
ABOUT MY GLASS: All of my glass art is cut freehand without patterns; every piece is unique. I use the same methods and materials that have been used by glass artists for centuries: the paint is powdered glass which, when kiln-fired becomes one with the glass beneath it. These pieces will last your lifetime. And more.
